If you are in crisis, please do not wait on an email. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Outside the US, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country. Bible Bison is a devotional app, not a crisis service and not treatment.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app. No email to us, no waiting.
- Open Bible Bison.
- Tap You in the tab bar.
- Tap your name at the top to open your profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account, then confirm.
This removes your journal, your records, your settings, your friendships, your public counters and your sign-in identifiers from our server. Anything held only on your phone goes when you delete the app. If you cannot get into the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
Signing in
Sign in with Apple
Tap Continue with Apple. You can choose to hide your email address, and the app works exactly the same either way.
Sign in by phone
Enter your number with the country code and we will text you a six-digit code. If the code does not arrive: check the number, wait a minute before asking for another, and make sure the number can receive SMS. If texts still do not arrive, use Sign in with Apple instead.
I changed my phone number or Apple ID
Email [email protected] from an address we can match to your account and we will move it across.
Notifications
Bible Bison sends a small number of devotional notifications timed to the waking and sleeping hours you set. It never sends advertising.
- To change the hours: Settings → Rhythm in the app.
- To turn them off entirely: iOS Settings → Bible Bison → Notifications.
- Nothing in the app requires notifications to be on. Every feature works without them.
If notifications stop arriving, open the app once while connected to the internet. That re-registers the device with our server.
Friends
A friend who accepts your invite sees four numbers: days in the Word, victories, verses kept and your reading streak. All four only go up. They cannot see your journal, your covenant, a relapse, or any date.
- To invite someone: You → Friends → Invite a friend, then send them the link.
- To accept an invite: tap the link, or use You → Friends → "I was sent a link" and type the code.
- To remove or block someone: You → Friends, swipe on their row.
- To report someone: You → Friends, open their row, and choose Report. We read every report.
The Bible reader
- Offline: chapters you have opened stay on the phone and can be read without a signal.
- Listening: tap Listen in the reader. The line being read is highlighted as it goes.
- Reading plan: Settings → Reading plan. You can follow M'Cheyne, or set your own book and a date you want to finish by, and the app paces it.
Memory verses
Verses are scheduled by spaced repetition, so they come back just before you would forget them. If a verse feels too easy or too hard, grade it honestly; the schedule corrects itself within a few reviews. You can change how many new verses a day you take on under Settings → Memory.
Privacy questions
The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is collected and who processes it. The short answer: there are no ads, no trackers and no analytics SDK, nothing is sold, and what you write is used only to write a reply back to you.

Reporting content
The app writes pastoral text with software, and software can get things wrong. If anything the app writes to you is offensive, harmful or plainly wrong, email [email protected] with what it said and roughly when. We read these and fix them.
Reporting a bug
Email [email protected] with your iOS version, your device, and what you were doing. A screenshot helps more than anything.
